Lt. Gov. Kay Ivey Announces Road Work for Macon County
Lieutenant Governor Kay Ivey recently announced that Wilcox County will receive $1.5 million for resurfacing projects on County Road 27 and County Road 18 near Pine Hill, Alabama. These projects are being funded with Alabama Department of Transportation funds to repair and resurface Wilcox County Roads.
Lt. Gov. Ivey said, "I appreciate working with Dapartment of Transportation Director John Cooper to identify funds that can be used for these two projects. As a Wilcox County native, I am familiar with these roads and how important they are to Wilcox County residents. This will also help Wilcon County prepare for the new Golden Dragon manufacturing plant."
The first phase of the road work is seheduled to begin this fall.
